Soldering Help

Hi.I'm rewiring my Ps1p's controller,using the instructions from Ben's book,and i'm having a very hard time.The solder keeps sliding onto different pins.Does anyone have any tips on how to do this right?

Tin the wire you're soldering.
Use flux on the wire.
Use less solder (A big glob of sodler tends to melt onto several pins)
Gt a smaller soldering tip.

coat it in solder before wiring it to the pin. read Ben's intro on soldering and stuff

. I think tinning's in there...
