upside down analog stick

Post by Neildo_64 »

Anybody know what wires to switch if I wanted to put my analog stick in upsidedown? (it doesn't fit right-side up) you know so down is up, up is down, left is right, and right is left.

Ya, I'd just try moving things around. I was just messing around with a joystick, and there are way to many placed things in there. I just gave up and went on to another cont.

if it uses pots, just switch the outer two wires on the pot... that should work.

if you're using one of the official N64 controllers they use optical encoders, for some strange reason, so you're probably out of luck if that's the case. Most of the third party controllers do use pots though and they're cheap now that the N64 is old

Thanks guys. I am using an official controller, but I just figured since it uses optical sensors that I could just invert the x and y wires, but If its that hard, i could try to make it fit normally or get one that uses pots.
