Intec controller pad screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Intec controller pad screen

Post by Neildo_64 »

Yeah, as far as posting here, I'm pretty much a n00b, but as far as doing things like this (soldering, electronics, blah blah), I'm not. Also, I'm actually a pretty active reader here. I just never usually post anything.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has a pinout of the Intec controller screen. I've searched the forums, but I'm having a hard time finding one. If not, I spose I could trace them, but thanx in advance.

Okay, now I guess I have a couple more questions.

Can the screen be used without the actual controller portion?

and

What, if any, are the differences between the US ones and the Canadian ones?

US and Canada are the same (NTSC) and I'm pretty sure you don't need the actual Controller part of the board.

once again, thanks. :D
I just got my intec pad in the mail today. BRAND NEW. I almost feel bad for wanting to rip it apart, but that IS why I bought it, so I guess I'll just have to force myself

Edit: Actually, that is the pinout for a hipgear. The Intec screen only has six wires coming from the screen to the controller.

Edit:
