nes power button

i am making a nesp and i was wondering if there was a way to keep the original power/reset/led light board thing and still have it work? i mean actually turn the unit on and off. i ask because i think that the switch is part of the classic look that i would like to keep

I think it will still keep working, as long as you don't de-solder it. That's been my experience anyways.

What exactly does "connect to pads" mean? And to be on the safe side, does this still require removing the switch from the board?

"Connect these to pads" is a spelling error by whoever made the image, it should be "Connect these two pads", basically just solder the 2 points together, and no, the switch will stay as is.

okay, thanks for the translation. yeah, I just took a look at the board, guess it helps to have that thing in front of me before I ask huh?
