Not the flahback 1 you need the flashback 2 and i'm really not sure but the FB2 basically tells you which pins are for the cart because they have numbers.

Yeah, the pinouts are actually silkscreened onto the PCB. They only reason they didn't put a cartridge slot in it was to stop floods of calls from people who'd just bought broken/corroded 20+ year old secondhand cartridges and can't get them to work.

If you modify it to put in a cartridge slot, you've invalidated the guarantee anyway so no comeback!

This is absolutely awesome. I'd heard that Flashback 2 would support carts, but it's nice to see that it's confirmed. Definitely buying one of these now :)

Well I came across as site that has a step-by-step instructions as to how to install the cart slot. So I'm sharing it here. Enjoy.

Wish they'd hurry up and sell the damn things in Europe/UK.

Once my Genesis/Mega Drive portable is done, I got ideas for another Atari portable and I really can't be bothered to hack the board of a 2600 Jr this time.
I've often found if people spend less time worrying about what someone the other side of the world has posted on an internet forum and more time getting laid, they'll be a lot less tense.

Has anyone tried shrinking down the Flashback PCB? I'm wondering if it can be made as small or smaller than the 4x4 mod.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

Judging from the pics I've seen the pcb is not much bigger then a psx/ps2 control personally I dont think it would be too difficult.

Yes, but the page showing the actual modding does show Chopper Command.
