Iv been trying to run Ubuntu linux on my comp running XP (Amd cpu) and it wont run! Iv tried every version (excluding the intel one) and each time I get some bull message why linux wont boot. What do you guys think I should do

Start by telling us your system specs and what the error messages say.
You say you didn't try the Intel image? Do you have a 64bit AMD system? If not you need the Intel x86 image.

you're burning the isos as cd images, right? double clicking the iso should do that if that's what you've been doing wrong

Tell us the error message, that would be the best place to start. Beyond that, if you have the interest and/or time try another live distro. There's Knoppix, Slax, SuSE 9.1 and 9.2 (I believe) are both live.

There's also Damn Small Linux, it includes some legacy support that newer distros do not.

What should you do? You should wipe your disk, install Ubuntu directly onto your hard drive, and become a happy PC owner

Make a Win98 boot disk and type FORMAT C:, then use FDISK to delete the partition. It only works for FAT16/32.
