The opening with all the people in the form of a skier was beautiful though.

I always cheer for the US, Canada, and Australia. I don't know why, but I have a strange attraction to Canada and Australia.

A kid I used to play with when I was little (I think he's 19-20 or so now) who moved from my street a year or two ago is in the olympics doing figure skating! Woot! His name is Bryce (or Brice or whatever) ....something.... Go Canada!

2002 was way cooler.
1. because it was in america
2. because the stadium was just 25 minutes away from my house.
- i'm ranting, but atleast all the olympic facilitys are all left behind and i get to ride the nice gondolas now.

I live just a bit further away than that. Olympics are a lot cooler when you can actually go to them or know where they are.
