Pow Pow Powerbook

Well I'm looking for a laptop so I can program games (for the Atari mostly) and wondered if it was possible to use an Apple PowerBook cause you can get them for a good Price on eBay. And If I can can someone give me a good model type?

I dont see why you couldnt use an apple... As long as you have an mac emu, which there is you'll be good to go...

Mac emu? oh and I'm not really a Mac guy i know its painfully easy to use but its based on Unix or *bsd right?

A mac compatible atari emulator... I guess i worded it weird... Its so you can test the games you make...

I'm probablly not getting one I just asked my dad and he said old laptops screens get really shaving creamy when they get old

Thats funny I have a POS one thats now 8 years old and the screen isnt that bad. I cant image Mac screen being crap either as mac makes everything to a very high level of quality (now).

yea, there are people using 6 year old powerbooks just fine, with not problems on the screens.

Yeah, my family has around 3 or 4 older laptops floating around, some of them being Macs, and all of the screens are fine. It's the batteries that die eventually.

got a question about a mac, ASK ME!

mac will work fine, just get an assembly programming tool for mac, and get an atari emulator.you wont need anything above a 333mhz for this kind of thing.

Macs are actually pretty well built and user freindly I never heard off the screens gettin mest up though. How much are they sellin these things for anyways.
