Anyhow, onto business.
I have an original NES I'm going to buy. Its cheap. For the casing, I'm probably going to use some kind of plastic. My big problem is getting the screen. I know a little bit about electronics, but not too much about screens. Also, I think I may need some help with the sound. We have a soldering iron and all.
So, the basic parts of a portable. You have the motherboard in the middle. Coming from this are cables to the screen, buttons and speakers. You solder the cables into place...and that's probably not all of it. Here are my questions.
1. Where could I find a screen? And what kind? I've seen the PS1 screens. So, recommend me one.
2. Obviously, you have the controls on the handheld. But, how would I hook up a second player connection, as in a controller? This isn't too big, but would be nice.
3. I'm thinking the overall size would be about 9 inches across and taller than the screen I use. Is this a bit much for a portable?
4. I'm using, as earlier stated, use some kind of plastic for my case. It will be tacky, thats for sure. So, what should I use to cut the plastic? It will probably be about the type of plastic the original NES case uses. Maybe even the same material.
5. How do you bond two corners of the case so it looks decent?
6. Painting. I've seen this method done with taken-apart NES's. Spray paint. Primer, color and then a clear finish to prevent fingertips. Any advice on what kind of paint?
7. Overall, what would be the cost? I'm going to have to buy...not too much really. I have the NES. I need to buy the paint, the screen, the extra cable, maybe some casing. Any ideas?
THank you all very much in advance.

1). get this screen: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/224503.asp when they are back in stock (Psone screen for $30 free shipping)
2). For the case get a tackle box and cut it with a dremel.
3). Itll cost about $50
4). There is sound built into the psone screen. However it is kind of sucky. I just finished wiring a decent amp cicuit that will make the sould better. Pm me if you want it.
