thats not as bad as what happened to my friend, hes lanky and was at the cinema and some like 40 year old guy started hitting on him

when the guy found out he wasnt over 18 he looked shocked and embarrased and didnt say another word

You people know my age... I actually got interested in some of the heavier sciences because of this place... I know I shouldn't have had a mind this complex for an 8 year old, but I remember asking my mom

"Mom, what makes electrons have only a negative charge? Could there be an identical particle except for a minor change in quarks making it, in theory, a positive electron?"

That's when I started learning about atoms, and by nine, my mom introduced me to string theory

... That stuff is fun... I even came up with a few smaller additional therories that by the laws of physics should be involved (Such as: You need a dimension 0 to hold the rest of the dimensions together). And by 10, I actually came up with a feasible idea for a Nuclear Fusion Generator just to find that the government beat me to it and posted it in that months issue of PopSci

My idea was based off an experiment done by scientist to explain ball lighting. In the experiment they used microwave generators and magnets to actually create what is know as ball lightning. What they actually created is a miniture ball of charged plasma (that's what ball lightning is, not actual lightning

), similar to the structure of the sun... Using this, I assumed you could take that and harness the energy from the fusion... Then, in a week or 2, I came crying to my dad and told him the government stole my idea... Only they had changed the shape of the charged plasma into a controlled ring...

Yeah um...no.

It's not feasable, no matter waht you say. The energy required for nuclear fusion/fission to occur greatly outweighs the energy that fusion would give off if harnessed. Scientists have yet to come up with a way of heating up hydrogen/helium or whatever to this temperature without wasting tons of energy.

Actually, no. It's nice to see youngsters interested in something other than breaking windows, stealing cars, etc etc.

Growing up in a place full of chavs did have some advantages - the police were too busy arresting them to be bothered about the pirate rock radio station...

BTW, a balloon filled with helium tied to the end of a very long wire makes an excellent "disposable antenna". One snip of the wire and bye bye evidence.
