Bargain game consoles!

If anyone lives near to a "Second Hand Land" in the UK (kind of like a very poor man's Cash Converters) get over there now - They're selling off all their games consoles!

So far I've managed to pick up a Sega Mega Drive and SNES for 50 pence each! I also got a dead Mega Drive for free (handy for converting my Radica SOAC game!). Games for both the Mega Drive and SNES are anything from 5 pence to Â£1 each.
The one near me in Blyth has a huge pile of N64s and PSOnes all ranging from Â£1-Â£3 each. Not to mention loads of controllers, leads, power supplies etc etc.

Usually if you go to the counter with an armfull of stuff, they just say something like "Â£10 the lot".

in canada go to (only in the summer for some reason) valuevillage. yep smells like vintage (in more ways than one). you can regularly pic up 5 dead nes' a cupple of n64s, piles and piles genesis and snes cords controllers and all, and some times a dreamcast for real cheap. there also known for letting a few Psones with screens (working) slip by to the junk bins. ive picked up two some things on a chip and many many GBO,C's,P's,and A's... and whats always funny to see is some kid trying to weel away all the sega systems at once because there "rare" yes so rare that there are more than 15 of them in the bins a day... that they stack the addon systems (CD mostly not much 32x) and just about give them away for every genesis you onload from them.

I wish they had good stuff at the one over near me.. nothing but crap clothes and book that are deteriorating at the one here

Ya I got my SNES, Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda: Link to the past and FF: Mistic Quest from Value Village. I actualy picked up a couple of 386's and me and my friends fried them. Lots of fun

yeah watch out that you never set foot in a salvation army (unless making a nice cristianly donation) you may become confused and vilont when you cant find any thing after hiting pay dirt every day of the week in ValueVillage. oh those wher the days all poor and high living in my friends spare room permafired saving those consoles from the pile up in valuevillage only to ripp parts of them off and stick there controllers to my PC, hack bits out for every old school switch every disernable bit that makes it "it"... yeah guting Nes's for GCs repairing my snes with parts from 4 others, keeping the VB on its stand with a few games in the back of my self, butchering N64s for the best results go on to my next M64 atempt. and the Game boys, couldnt go through enough... yes im to blame for the rarity of a lot of old school consoles in my area. lol ive hacked up so much of them for so little to come out.
