i dont think you fried it, i did the same thing to my GC reg board and it was fine, but if it is you learned a lesson always check the voltages first those wires plug in either way

wait, so you plugged the postive output of the batteries to the red wire, and the negative to the black?

or does your thread title mean that your battery has red as the postive, and black as the negative?

if so, then damn those battery makers...that is messed up right there :P.

no he is saying the GC PSU wires were mixed up. but the plug can go in either way, anyone understand my crapopy explamation? so red and black coming from the PSU can be switched if you just rotate the wire. i am so bad at explaining this :(

I'd open up my GC to check to see if mine's like that too, but I'm too lazy. That really is odd to have the wires switched around. Manufacturing problem, most likely? I doubt it was intended that way...

bah wait im just real bad at saying it let me give it abother go

1)the cable coming from the PSU is a thick one that can be unplugged, colored red and black
2)both ends of this canle are exactly the same, thus it can be plugged in either way
3) sometimes if you take it apart you will not put it back the exactr same way maybe, the part that was in the switch will now be in the PSU thus red wire now switched with the black one since the plug has been flipped, know what im saying, try it with a GC PSU you have lyin around and youl see
4) madness probably took the cable off when he dissasembled the GC and put it back on the other way when he put it back together

and he isnt talkin bout the connector to the GC board he ios talkin bout the one from the PSU to the clicky spring switch that powers it on

you're right turbo, you DO suck at explaining it :P (before, I mean).

yeah, if you do that, then they get switched (I was assuming they were reversed, with the pins on the other end of the cable on the other "half" of the connector)....I always just leave the cable in there, so I never noticed it ;).

FYI: Red is positive and black is common(negative).
