browser freeze ps2?

does anyone know why my browser freezes on my ps2? i turn it on and everythings fine until it gets to the main screen with system config and browser..

5 years lol.. its not the cd..sometimes i pop a cd in and it skips the browser menu and plays..

I have had this happen to me before, although i fixed it. Have u ever opened up ur PS2? If not then you will sometime soon. Just open it up, keep track of all the scwres, CAREFULLY move the parts- there are fragile ribbon cables- and disconnect the cables from the DVD drive. Just get to the motherboard. You should just really clean the whole thing. Cans of compressed air usually do the trick. Remove the lithium cylinder batter on the side of the DVD drive, or on the motherboard. Replace battery. Put console back together CAREFULLY. It should be fixed. IF not, too bad. Buy a slimline....or something.
