NES super-solder?

I've been trying to desolder the little RF box off my motherboard, but it won't budge. Is my soldering iron too weak for whatever they used on the NES?

I've got a 25W model. I tried to desolder other various things on the board too, and nothing happened.

Well, your iron should be enough. However, since the RF shield is soldered to the board (or so I've heard) then you'll have to wait a while (and the metal shield will get quite hot.)

Try snipping off the shield if you have some tin snips. Then you can desolder the remaining bits.
