Didn't they release a series of GBO models in several colors including clear around the time the GBP came out?Gamelver wrote:let's see here.....for Gameboy: Original, Pocket, and, er...Light?

As much as I'd love to embrace my fanboy instinct, I somewhat agree with you. This is a pointless redesign. Sure, people complained about the looks of the first one, but this is just too soon. Their reasoning could possibly be that they seem to have the Japanese handheld market in the bag, with the DS outselling every other console each week, and they'd like to increase that lead by even more.Lucretius wrote:I'd count how many re-releases Nintendo has under it's belt, but I want to get some sleep tonight...I seriously can't believe they pulled another stupid stunt like this, and I can only hope it bites them so hard in the ass, it'll bite some sense into them...
I don't understand why it would come back to haunt them, though, Luc. They'll get more sales for the DS, or at least the same amount as they're having currently. Its not like people aren't going to buy this redesign. Although I do agree that Nintendo needs to freaking stop redesigning their systems every few years (or every year in this case). Its pointless, but I doubt it'll hurt them.
