portable dvd players

are there any portable dvd players that would work in a portable game system? or are they all pretty much the same and pretty much useless?

If you can find the pinouts, anything is possible.

....if you can find the pinouts lol. you wont find them but you can make a dvd player into a portable game system if you can just make your own case. they all have composite and audio inputs, its just a matter od meshing the system and player into one case.

as for pulling off the screen and just using that....that generally wont work. the chroma encoder circutry and such usually stays inside the player and runs a mess of data lines to the LCD part. You cant really separate it. I've only seen one dvd player (out of the dozen+ive opened) that you could possibly rip the screen from (it had labelled pinouts).

thats what i'm talking about. i contemplating sticking an atari flashback into the base of a portable dvd. (don't ask me how i would get it to close, got to work on the technical first)
