HMD screens?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

HMD screens?

Post by Super Mulletman »

Is there any place I could get a high-res LCD screen (preferrably as small as 1"), like the kind you would/could use on a head mounted display? I was thinking about getting an HMD for the long plane trips I take every so often, but the typical HMD is really freakin' expensive (and they often include speakers and whatnot, and I really just need the screen).

You could just buy a cheap HMD from www.mp3playerstore.com

Woah.

A virtual 36" HMD for $200. That's pretty nice. Doubt the quality would be phenominal, but pretty cool nonetheless.

most HMDs are less than 800x600 resolution unfortunatly, and rather expensive

One I was bidding on last week went for $30some+shipping.. $70 for one of those is pretty good in my opinion.. even if it is a cheap one.
