It all depends on the teacher you have.
1. The Helper: Helps you develop skills and teaches you methods in the art form you're studying. They cater to your styles and personalities. They rock.
2. The Historian: This teacher only wants to tell you about those great masters and isn't truely interested in your work.
3. The Hard-Ass: Grade-moger. Wants you to draw and do what he/she does and draws. Personal expression be damned, they're sickos...

i hate our art teacher sometimes (i think she does drugs) like she assigned 3 paintings for our final grade 2 weeks before the class was over, i WILL NOT be forced. if im creating something i am not gonna do a rush job of it, i got most of one painting done and failed the class, it was stupid i do love working with clay tho, i made a boat once! lol
