Ceramics Class!

I've been waiting for this for a really long time. I've finally got ceramics class at school! We get to work with clay and a potters wheel. The guy instructing us hasn't shown us anything, but I made my first pot on the 2nd day! Anyone else here take ceramics?

I love working with Clay, what type of Clay do you use on the potters wheel?

I did! I was 7 but I remember it vaguely and I did have fun...art and music classes (Ap Phototograpy and Advanced Choral Studies, right now) are always my favorite classes...you learn so much...

I never knew there were different kinds of clay. The clay at school comes from a local ceramics producer, but I don't know

There is one thing i Learned in Choir, Im a Bass, ontop of that im the only bass out of close to 30 people, whats the odds of that

I'm a Bass too, I love the power of that voice part...we're doing a Brahmsian piece with 12 voice parts and a Whitacre piece with 16...it's intense and practices are excruciating sometimes, but we make the most amazing music...it's fantastic...

i don't have ceramics class but i did work with clay many years ago when i was in elementary school. then that art teacher left and a new one came. the new one hated me and did nothing but collages

. luckily that was the last year before i went to high school

I love clay, fun stuff... It also helps that I'm a good sculptor. I take ceramics and wheel ceramics at camp. I play the bass, can't sing bass though. I am a pretty decent singer...

She makes us Sing German Songs, lot of the time. She complains that we dont say the words right, and we retort with "We dont know GERMAN!"

You know what's fun? If there is someone making you sing a song in a language you don't know, learn as many curses as you can in said language. If they don't know the language, say them in class. Juvenille, but fun...

I'm a totally artsy person whether it's pottery, drawing or painting. But I never was keen on the idea of some teacher telling me what I can and cannot draw. Art schools are fine for me because they take your strengths and build on them, all my grade school art teachers did was tell me to paint a picture with what they wanted in it, not what I wanted in it. In fact my grade 9 art teacher almost failed on of my drawings because I took a little creative licence and she didn't like it.

Art is an expretion, I love critiques and suggestions. A little nudge here and there, but noone tells me i'm strait up wrong.

i once made little Aibos out of clay and sold them for $50

I like to fraw a lot of stuff. Game characters, animals, the world, and like forests and plains being that they're right next to me. I haven't worked with clay in a while, which is funny considering I own a kiln.

Oh and I'm a bass and I play a bass instrument.
