Audio problem

Im using the psone's origional speakers and they seem to distort the sound when i turn the volume past 60%. Did I mess up on wiring or do the psone speakers not cut it and i need to get new ones. Or do I need to do something different. Thanks

BTW Im using a NES if that makes any difference.

Perhaps past 60 the speakers aren't getting enough power. Or your standards are too high.

I'm getting the same thing..

It's caused by the TDA amplifier.. Nothing you can do about it.

Try using a standalone amplifier (with speakers) and wire them so the screen doesn't get any audio input. (optional, remove the amplifier-chip altogether; saves another 60 mA of power consumption) I did this, and got remarkeably clearer audio, less distirtion, plus! you can move the seperate amplifier away from the screen (less hum on the audio, less wavey image on the screen).

if i use headphones, which i will do more often than not, is there still audio distortion? I have yet to set up my headphone jack so im not sure yet. Would this work for an external audio amp: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... age=search
I have no idea about audio stuff so thanks for helping me out.
