I've found a Super Happy Joy Machine Fun or whatever it is called on eBay.au, but I'm not sure if it's right. A reply in the next 13 hours, 14 minutes would be greatly appreciated :D

What do you mean by "right?" I think it looks fine for a pirate.

EDIT: Make sure you have a PAL (AU, NZ, UK standard) TV, or else the picture might be wierded.

Has anybody else used this model before? I'm a bit hesitant about buying something and having it only be able to emulate instead of actually playing cartridges... but it does say "built in expansion slot for additional cartridges", but they may not be NES.

And yes, I do have PAL everything.

It has a famicom slot. (Japanese NES). You'll need a converter.
