Sony (Modded) With faulty dvd drive

I have a chipped sony 2, with a faulty cd drive (i think i moved the lens or sumthing when cleaned it with a cotton tip),i have since bought a new ps2 if anyone has any ideas or is interested in buying this can you please reply

This exact same thing happened to my PS2. After I started getting the disk read errors I tried to open up the PS2 and clean the lense, but now it won't even power up anymore

Well what happened is i had a quick look through my expansion bay to see a bit of dust, i blew this all out but then worried about whethre it would have gone on the lens, i then cleaned the lens with a cotton bud, but after this i start it like usual and i place a disc in and it says 'reading disc' but after a few secs it stops, it has a mod chip if that makes any dif.

its model number is SCPH-300002 R and it has a modchip which runs through DVD Region X which i also have, but it needs a new dvd drive
