That about covers the stereotypical geek since the late 80's early 90's.

Avoid as much social interation in order to engross yourself in your interests.

And as for the first two things you love... How much do you know? Like do you have Star Wars books (like Essential Guide to _____)? With computers do you all the specs of you computer and can conpare them and give logical reasons to why your computer is better then someone else's?

Those are the things you'd need to take the lable of geek. Oh and your attire sounds more like that of a nerd.

Geek = likes technology, dies if the power goes out and his UPS dies too

I am a geek.

If your leaning towards a nerdy geek instead of a strait geek you gonna need brases, a lisp, a pocket protector and coke bottle glasses as big as you can find you.

Change your name to Darth, carry a lightsaber and sper out random star wars quotes and if posible diss anyone who watches Star Trek.

Just remember, all this comes with a price. Don't expect to get laid.... ever... unless you do the compleet opposite of what your trying to do.

Or just the opposite. Speak in... fragmented... sentences, carry around one of those weird pistol-shaped PDAs, wear bright primary colors, and wear an insignia badge. Also choose a side to fight with, Kirk or Picard, and diss everyone who opposes you. There you go, trekkie-in-a-box.*

Pay close attention to Niel Goldman from Family Guy, and the floating blue cloud buy from that episode of Futurama. Maybe the comic book guy from The Simpsons too.

Or if you want to follow the traditional definition of "geek", join a fair or circus and bite the heads off of live chickens and swallow live snakes and bugs for the crowd's amusement.

thanks for the replies guys. Also do I have to study? Is it still okay for me to belive in God and be a christian even though I am a geek? Last but not least do I have to be a 100% student in Math because I am a 75-85 type of student in math.I am a 95 in Social Studies and 95 in LA. Sceince I am 80-85 I got the highest score in my class for the sceince fair project, a 93.
I call the lunchroom boring and unsafe I stay in the library playing on the laptops everyday. Also I refer to gym as (the working hard for nothing subject) sometimes it's boring. You play with all your strength and then you get tired for math. Oh yeh last thing I refer to the computer as my wife.lollololol. I know the basic of p.c's like turning it own installing O.S's
all the time. I can setup a computer. ( I hate parties and rap music all people do is talk to girls and dance I like computer and gaming)

Last: Do I have to stop watching wrestling?
Wow, sounds like your serious about being one  Why would you want to be a geek/nerd? Be yourself and if that makes you a nerd then good for you

Don't take this personally to anyone who is a nerd/geek in school or in public because I have my own inner geek right here at benheck :)

This seem like it is the most offensive thread I've seen on these boards. Geeks can be all different.

Well shoot. According to the dictionary, all geeks are the same. In that case:

TOO BE A GEEK...
Spread bacon grease on your face every morning and purchase some cucumber hair products.

You can't just dress like a geek and call yourself a geek.

That's like adding a resistor next to a battery and calling it a voltage regulator :P

You gotta actually BECOME a geek. Like star wars. And I quote:
“[Luke:] I don’t believe it. [Yoda:] That is why you fail.â€
Hey, sup?

Well your 13 that explains a lot. Most 13 year old boys arn't that far into girls. Just wait 2 years and it will start to change.

You will notice girls starting to "develop" and you will begin to take intrest in girls bodys.... blah blah blah (insert generic father son conversation here). I'm sure you know the one. The whole birds and the bees thing.

Plain and simple girls like studs, and as time moves on the stud and the geek are merging together. The football jocks are playing video games and the geeks are getting more and more into sports... if you can call them that.

Be smart. Invest in a gym pass over the next few years, or if your too shy get a home gym.

Of course you would be a compleete shut in, but I know what one I have chosen
