does anyone know what part of the motherboard in the n64 to connect to the game slot when soldering?i know i probably only need to connect the little brass prongs on the slot to the mother board but i don't know where.
the places possible would be...
8 rectangular metal plates
12 large soldered points sticking up
52 small soldered points sticking up
48 holes where brass prongs originally rest.
help is much appreciated, thanks.

ok. theres the cartidge slot and the expansion slot(underneath). the cartridge slot plugs into the middle two rows of holes as long as the expansion slot is present. the middle two rows are not actually connected to anything, the expansion slot provides the connection for the cartridge slot. if you have removed the expansion slot, you have to solder the cart slot to the outer two rows of holes. there should be 48 or so of them, with a gap. line the gap in the pins on the cart slot up with those, then solder away. you CAN hook it up backwards if youre not paying attention.
