Yup, my friend Zach go it. It's pretty nice, but I'd go with a custom pc.

It's still going to be a big rip-off like all the other Dell gaming PCs. I mean 4.26Ghz, they're not going to pass this oppurtunity up. Not to mention how crappy their motherboards and power supplies are. I'll stick with custom machines.

First thing I didn't know they made Dual Core Pentium 4s, really isn't it called the Pentium D?

Second I think this is Dell's new line of computers. Ment to appeal to the high end market. Cause for the longest Dell's made economy class now they want to make high perfomace and luguery class.

I command Dell on doning this for those that are looking for a nice high end system and are too scare and/or lazy to build it themselfs for half the price. Hat's off to you.

Lol, thats not a bad price considering you get quad 7800's..... That machine WILL overheat no questions asked, you will need to life in an arctic to cool that sucker. And also, what game requires quad 7800's? HL2? no chance, I get by with 100fps on my 6600GT.

Quite, but two are only slaves (and there is only so much bandwidth in the PCI-E bus). And even with two 7800GTX 256's, the most high-end system become bottlenecked. You're paying for power you can't even access. THAT's where they get you.

Wow, thats crazy fast...Pretty impressive setup. But I wouldn't buy such an expensive machine from Dell. For one, whoo needs that kind of power?! I get by great wih my 2-3 year old dell. Also, in my experience Dells have the worst cooling setup ever (fan died after only 2 months and then my vide card died shortly thereafter due to too much dust that the Dell fan was supposed to circulate). Unless they have changed you might run into problems with something this powerful (and more power=more heat)

Still, I wouldn't pass one up at a future garage sale

correct me if im wrong, but antialiasing and antiscopic filtering is done entirely on the card, withhout need to communicate with the motherboard. if i am indeed correct about this, then regardless of any bottlenecks, this baby could crank out some sweeet looking graphics. call of duty at 2560x1600? *drool

and if you can afford to fork over 5 grand to get it, im sure you can afford the extra 400 bucks to get a sweet watercooling system for it.

anyhow. i would never buy this system either. but heck... its pretty sweet.

I never said that it couldn't bust out some crazy graphics. All I'm saying is that 4 7800GTX 512's is just plain redundant.

dude, my Dell computer is one year old and it had top of the line hardware of Febuary 2005...now it's like totaly outdated....except for the fact it still kicks ass

And who would ever pay 4000 bucks for a PC? I got mine for 1800 and the performance is great! Can play anygame at full(and above) fps.....i get like 100 or above most of the time

So really, i would rather make a Custom pc......but i don't hate Dell, i actually am using mine right now

But god this thing is hot........my room is 15-20 degrees hotter than the hallway.....this thing makes my room so hot! I even have my cieling fan(s) on all the time........i need to waqter cool this thing!

Harshboy you got a point. My dad's Dell is about a year and a half old and when I run it the whole room is flippin' hot! It's like 85 degrees in my room when the house is 65.

Dells have the worst cooling setup ever

And it's not just the PC's/Laptops my X50V gets realy, realy hot whenever i'm running it for a long time or using a high requirement app/game, to the point where I've had to put it away 'till it was cool again.

Oh I know. My friend has a Dell lappie and the fan went bad on it. So it heats up very fast and he has to keep a fan (A real BIG fan. Like for cooling your room in the summer) blowing on it to keep it cool. I told him to just get it replaced like I did with my desktop, but he was too cheap for it.

They did seem to improve it though. My dads has a newer laptop which is pretty fast computer overall, yet it stays cool just fine.
