i was wondering could you use your ds charger cord and wire a rc batterie to it to charge your ds. kinda like the psonep on portables of doom.

The DS charger is for Li-Ion batteries, RC car batteries are [usually] either Ni-Cad or Ni-Mh. So, no, you cannot.

well i meant cut of the wall charger part and put the baterie on the end to use as a back up charger or power suply for my ds.

You mean attatching the battery to where you would normally plug the charger into the wall? The battery provides dc while the wall provides ac. The charger has a transformer in it that only works with ac. In short, nay.

actually it outputs 5.2v DC. 7.2v is probably too much. maybe 5v off of a reg would work

heh...I know the answer to this

....a while ago, I went to Vienna for a few days, and I brought my GBA SP and N64p2. my GBA had run out of batteries. and the 220V to 110V converter wasn't working with the charger....so I got my wire strippers and hooked it up to the battery from the n64. it charged

...
