Cheapo battery

Post by madc0w »

i found a really cheap rechargable battery at Radioshack. Its 9.6 volts at 1000mah. Not that great, but fine for stuff like goacs or noacs. The best part is that its only $5! (on clearance) I bought two since i was already there for a soldering tip.

Bet they're Ni-CD batteries. Word of advice, run the batteries to the ground, absolute zero, not powering anything, so that you keep the battery working to it's best longest.

they are. Whats a good way to easily discharge them. Could leaving my noac with the battery powering it work?

Ya, you may have to turn it on a few time to be sure its as low as it will get. I had my PSone running off a Ni-CD 2000mA one once and had to leave it on, such as be sure that the green power light will not come on again.
