6V for Audio on HIP gear screeN?

I successfully wired my hip gear and radica together and was able to turn it both on with one switch. I used 4 AA's at 1.5 V each 6V total but I was not able to get any sound. I desoldered the 7808 regulator and I had visual confirmation but the only thing missing was sound. Is 6V not enough for the audio amp??

well alkaline batteries quickly drop to 1.3, 1.2 volts, and probably get down to like 1.1v before they die. just so you know that. i dont know anything about voltage requirements

did you jump the input and output where the 7808 used to be?

Does that mean hooking up the positive and negative wires there? If not then I didnt and what does that mean?

no dont do that,

there were 3 holes were the 7808 used to be solder a small wire connecting the 2 holes on the outside, make sure you dont solder anything to the middle hole
