A few questions with the Super Joy III.

Post by DJ Emergency »

Hello everyone! I got a VG Pocket Max and a Super Joy III for my project. I'm trying to get the Super Joy III to fit inside the VG Pocket Max. Now here is the questions I would like to ask.

1. Can I bypass the green board with the controller on the Super Joy III?
2. Has anyone figuered out the pin out to the VG Pocket Max screen?
3. Can I keep the original cart port on the Super Joy III and use a converter to play NES games?
4. How would I setup the batteries to connect to run the screen and the NOAC?

Thanks!

1. Yup, you sure can. You still need a controler encoder thing though though. I posted the pinout to the player 2 controller and how to use it in the sticky.
2) Not yet.
3) Yes. It wouldn't be very stable though.
4) You need at least 6V battery, if youa re using rechargeable AA's/AAA's that would be 5 cells. Use a 7805 for the NOAC jsut to be sure you don't fry it. And if you use a hip gear screen just input the 6V into the screen board.
