Microsoft is debating with sony over who started the HD era...but have EITHER of them looked at a genesis in the last few years?

Neither of them seemed to notice that the Genesis (Model 1 at least) sported...

"HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS"!

Could it be possible that Micro$oft and $ony SKIPPED 1988?

Damn, I must be really bored to post this.

how can that be possible if it's max resolution is 320 x 224 and HDTV hadn't been invented in 1988?

I know, but the point is Sony and MS say their starting the HD era, when the Genesis 1 "had" it, and the PS2/XB1/GC had it in some sorts?

I don't really care that much for HD because it may be becasue I look at a 32" CRT Toshibe TV made in 1990 a lot or I can't see the clarity in HD.

actually HDTVs are really good. my cousin has one and watching stuff on it is so much better than my TV, the image is a zillion times more clear and it's really nice. plus it's not making TVs more expensive, it's making normal TVs less expensive :P

My Genesis has composite, and HDTV is a way of coughing up money, picture quality is perfect with RGB/SCART so there's no need for this cra, I only watch Sky, so I get a nice TV Picture anyway

Problem is, they don't have RGB or SCART here for the most part.

Yes, sadly this is true, but it is becoming a little more common. I was able to get a 32" SANYO with RGB for about $135 + tax at walmart when it was came time to uprage (I got an XBOX and decided KOTORII would be a lot more fun if I could actualy read the text ). but then I had to cough up $20 for the fancy cable .

EDIT: Oh wait it's just component Gah........ I still had to pay for the new cable
