Is it good?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

I found this deal at my best buy where you get an Intec Gamecube screen and the Gamecube battery for 49.99. This is probably a good deal but i wanted to know if the Intec screen is good. Was intec the one with the stuck/dead pixel clump crap and is it the TFT one or not. I dont remember which one was better, intec or interact? Please help. Thanks

According to one article I found by googling, the intec screen is lots better. I saw that deal too, and I contemplated buying it. I decided I had no use for another screen, and the battery wouldn't help much. I'd say go for it if you want.

I would have to agree. Not only is the does the PSone screen have a more crisp looking image, the quality of the product itself is far superior. My Interact screen's backlight went out in a few months, and when I opened it up just to replace the bulb and bunch of wires popped out. I found that they were hot-glued in place. Wasn't worth $150 then, and isn't worth $50 now.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that PSone screens can be bought for around $30.

The Intec screen is supposedly very good, but you won't find it for as little as the PSone screen. Plus, you're on your own if you want to mod it or anything.

If you want a screen, go buy a PSone screen...they're cheap and you can easily mod it, no skills required...heck, even i did it.
