I'm cursed

Post by vb_master »

Every time I try to download America's Army, my brower freezes in the last second. I've tried using Internet Explorer and Firefox, both freeze in the last second of the download. What should I do?

clean out your cache, and make sure your HD isn't full.

My Firefox cache is cleared every time I close it.

I never use IE, so I know it's pretty much clear.

My HDD has 13.5 GB of free space, so I'm covered there. I want to avoid P2P clients. Is there any other way to get it?

EDIT: It's transferring from temp to desktop, now I have to wait a really long time.

EDIT: I think it froze :x

How big is the file? And are you using fat32 or ntfs?

I downloaded it on my other computer (using a download client), it's only 0.2 GHZ faster, and it worked. I can't burn it to CD because it's big.

To answer all questions:
OS = Windows XP Home SP 2 on both.
903.62 MB. NTFS on both.
Windows version 2.5

I'm using a download client that I used on my other computer. I'm on wireless if that makes a difference (I noticed that it takes a lot longer than wired).

I would like to just split the EXE file, burn it to CD, unsplit it on this compy, anyone know how?

Pretty much impossible only solution I see is burning to a DVD or sending it to your other computer via e-mail.

Click "Add Attachment" and select the intaller, and then wait a LONG time.

I actually got it to sorta work. The series of events:

1. I didn't know anti-virus was off, so I ran the install.
2. Hit cancel on install because anti-virus was off.
3. Turned anti-virus on.
4. Ran install again.
5. Froze.
6. Reboot in safe mode, and deleted America's Army.

I've given up, I don't really care anymore. I hate this computer even more now.
