screen shopping

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

How about the Hip Gear Screen? They're 2.3 inches. Sadly, none in stock right now from me :P.

The most common screens (And easiest to use for us newbs) would have to be these 2:

1) 2.3" Hipgear

2) 5" Sony Plastation 1 Screen.

These are the easiest to use do to the NUMOROUS questions out there using the search function etc.

And I don't know if you know about this, but you probably do:

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1 ... 797,00.asp - links to Hacking a PSOne screen and building a case are useful as well. Straight from Ben's book.

and....

Chapter 10 or so of Ben's book (In PDF)

Also, remember the screen is measured DIAGONALLY. Always good to note.
Hey, sup?

Oh come on... Don't try to confuse newbies! I don't know how many times people have asked this but a GBA screen nor a GameGear screen will work. You need something with composite video in.
