best d-pad ever
On saturday, I finally ponied up the money to get a gameboy micro, and I am so glad I did. The d-pad is better than any other d-pad that I have used including the one on Sega Saturn. Does anybody agree with me on this? It seriously feels like you are using a joystick.

I love my micros controls. They're nice and oversized (for the system). Actually, all things considered, the micro is probably the single best handheld I've ever owned. Finally a GBA that can take the title from my nomad.
Unlike most people, I actually feel nintendo has dropped the ball on both the DS and SP in terms of control quality, making the micro extremely welcome.
what I don't get is, where the heck are my faceplates? It's less than a week before xmas, and tons of people I don't know very well are looking to get me something I don't already have in the $10 range. They do sell black and silver on nintendo.com, but they aren't really what I'm after.
also my gbm really hasn't been turned on since my pretty 2x came--but I do admit that the micro is actually better for what it is. And it still goes everywhere in my pocket.

I seem to love my GBM almost as much as my PSP. It is much more comfortable than PSP, or any other handheld that I have owned. The L and R buttons are place perfectly as compared with the GBASP or DS. The PSP's controls are fairly well placed, but the micro beats it. Also the GBM is so convenient.

I think the PS2 D-pad is the best, as it's an analog d-pad!
DISCLAIMER: I have no clue wheather or not any other d-pads are analog.

I think that the best analog stick is the gamecube one, or the neo geo cd one (is it actually an analog stick?)

Ok if we're talking D-pads, I have to say the PS2's sucks. I've played Soul Calibur III on PS2 and after about 20-30 minutes my left thumb is raw.
The Dreamcast had an alright one. Xbox.... nevery really used it too much to condider it good, really useful is a better word to use "I havent found it too useful". GameCube's is pretty good condidering I dont own one and have only used a GameCube to play Soul Calibur II and Double Dash.
I know that D-pads were the mainstay in gaming but it is changing. And I think the key reason that Nintendo is sticking with the D-pad is that the joy-stick on the N64's controler wasn't that durable, I could destroy mine in about a year and a half.
I personally like anologe sticks so long as its a good one. The Dreamcast, Xbox and with better placement the PS2's (could) be all good. They offer me more easy in moving my thumb as I just move my thumb and so the stick moves, with a D-pad I have to move my thumb over the area and so my thumb's tip gets rubbed raw. And before any of you say dont do that, I can't when I'm playing a fighting game where speed is everything.
