Cancer

Post by blabmouth02 »

You know i was just reading my solder case and it was saying that it has a chemical that has been known to cause cancer. wouldn't that be just the dandiest if all of us got cancer from soldering too much...we'ed be like lab mice in tests and crap. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
(man I hope I didn't just jinx us all)
The only reason I bought an XBOX instead of a gamecube was because of the crappy zelda graphics. Now getting a rev because of Zelda graphics with no HD...irony: I think so!

I think that type of thing is due to ingestion of the solder, like a baby chewing on a strip of solder is more prone to getting cancer later in life than a baby with parents who aren't careless idiots.

I typed it in on Google.

I think it's one of these 2 things:

1) Lead - Who cares?

2) "Known to the State of California to Cause Cancer" - EVERYTHING seems to cause cancer over there that doesn't anywhere else.

EDIT:

http://www.mindfully.org/Pesticide/Chem ... 5jan02.htm Just look at that list!

According to the State of California...
Testosterone and its esters
58220
April 1, 1988
...Which means every guy past puberty has cancer.

(I meant to say every guy in CALIFORNIA)

Just about everything can cause canser.

Geneticly engineered food
The chemicals on your food (pesticises)
That blue chauk for your pool stick (according to Califoria)
Lead in solder
Natural sunlight
Car exaust
Tobacco smoke (both first and second hand)

Really thats the tip of the iceburg, we're all going to die. Hell I wouldnt be suprised if I came down with some type of canser in my life time. We could get canser just for having a predisposition to it. Dwelling on this topic will only turn a normal person into a hypocondriac.

the truth is that nothing can be proven to cause cancer, so to cover its own rear the state of california blankets everything. Our stores all have a cancer notice on the door, my appartment complex has a note by the office--heck, I've even seen the cancer notice on bottles of generic soda from the grocery store. But the fact is, nobody knows what causes cancer, or why it happens.

that said, it's lucky I'm getting out of here soon, because I don't want to catch the cancer from this place.

(btw, if anybody cares, due to hurricane katrina, my new orleans orders have been delayed. I'll be leaving in late feb, I just got the notice just two weeks before my previous move date, 27 dec.)

Life causes cancer.

Being a car guy I am bombarded by these warnings about things that causes cancer or are extremely dangerous if swallowed. I haven't got sick from anything yet.

I think some of these warnings are just stupid. Any one with half a brain doesen't need to be told not to drink a bottle of brake fluid, the first taste will tell them that.

The warnings are there to cover the compaies butts, but I think if you need to be told not to do certian things you don't need to be loose in society.

They just put them on there to cover ther ass. Everyone knows not to drink it, 6 year olds have no idea what it means (or can ever read sometimes) and drunk people arn't gonna read the warning label eather.

to quote a great Ben Heckendorn (crap...I mean, er, person :P): "it's like putting 'Caution: Hot!' on a coffee cup...oh wait.."

:P
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Same reason they put the "Do not attempt to stop moving chain with hands or genitals" sticker on power chain saws. That sounds like fun, lets all stop our saw chains with our balls, then we'll be cool!
