current draw of the Nintendo DS

i dunno if anyones tried to measure this before, but i was thinking about it today and i decided to check.

so heres all the vital numbers

dashboard - 112mA completely idle, usually 120mA
advance wars DS - around 130mA, peaked at ~146mA. changing the volume didnt seem to make a difference
metroid zero mission (GBA)- 70mA idle, 73mA with my brother playing as "intense" as he could, and 80-90mA with the sound on, depending on how loud the sound is.

and now the one everyones been waiting for!

sleep mode - 2mA, 2.5mA every time the LED flashes

i wanted to know how long it could sleep.

accodring to my calculations, it could sleep for about 16 days on a full battery.

So if you were to remove the LED, that would almsot double the sleep time then?

id say its only on about 12.5% of the time. i really dont need more sleep time ... i can charge it while it sleeping.

ive played matches in advance wards that have spanned weeks. i <3 my ds.
