PSONE LCD Starts, then the top part fades?

Hi, I was putting together my n64 portable last night, and couldn't get any sound from the psone lcd from the n64, so upon investigating,
I accidentaly shorted out the lcd motherboard against the n64 heatsink!!!!

Now the psone screen starts fine, and then the top half of the screen fades away!

Any idea on where to start searching for the problem?????

Any known components for this? thanks!!

the heatsink should be ground so if it was just the lcd it should be fine. did you check to see if the cable was tight in the back?

It was actually the circuit board for the sony psone lcd that touched the heatsink!

The cable is tight in the back, because I hotglued the lcd + board so they couldn't move!

The normal N64 heatsink is connected to ground, so whatever touched the heatsink got shorted with ground.

Only thing I can guess is to look for burnt parts.
