NiMH charging current

i have a 4200mah 8.4v NiMH DVD player battery i'm using for portable N64. it has a built in charging circut so it charges with 12v. does anybody know how many amps NiMH chargers have? would it be enough to power an LED modded screen? if it can i want to use it to play in the car with the 12v outlet in the car so i can play as much as i want in a car without using the battery

I can't really understand your question but the Ni-MH charger probably draws anywhere between 300-500mA. That's irrelevant if you have the battery charging while you're using the n64. (Car batteries are millions of mAh)

ok i'll try to clear it up a bit:
my battery is 8.4v NiMH. it has a built in charging circut that has an input of 12v and has a cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter or outlet in a car. so if i dettach it from the battery and plug it into the screen, would a NiMH charger supply enough current to power an LED modded screen. i guess i'll just have to find out

The cigarette lighter thingy doesn't have any circuitry except a fuse. It will draw from the car battery however much it needs.
So yes your cigarette lighter will supply enough current, however the voltage coming from a car varies widely.
It can be ~11v when the car is off, ~8v when you're starting it, and up to 15v when you're driving at full speed. So you'll need a 7808 of course.
