If you regulate the power from 16 down to 12v theres a good battery here (UK website)

in fact this sites got good batteries for most things

there way to expensive....does anybody know where i can get those things that you put batterys in? ( like the port where you put a battery in the gameboy color/ gameboy adavance...not sp....) I want to use rechargable battery's because there a lot cheaper!

you dont need to regulate any power down to 12 for the GC, input anything above 12 and you should be fine, unless its some outrageous amount

yeah, the gamecube has a regulator board in it.....atleast, i think thats what it is.......

yeah its Power supply unit, divides the voltage into 3.3 5, 12 and some other voltage i think

I hope to soon get a PSOne power cable and be able to test my screen with the modded RCA jacks on it. Soon i will have pics of it running. All i need yet is:
A microcon controller OR a Tri-Wing screwdriver/Bit
16 2500 mAh Nimh rechargable batteries OR 7.2 volt 2300 mAh rechargable RC pack and a 12 volt 3300 mAh rechargable RC pack
I can pretty much use it as a portable, except the fact that it still plugs into the wall outlets.....but pretty soon, it will be done

im tellin you, you are gonna get some really funked up battery life if you use two different batteries. just buy a 7808 regulator from digikey, actually buy a bunch of em so incase some of em fry you have extr, thats what happened to me

what are you talking about? if i buy cells they will be all same brand and mAh, and the 7.2 volt battery goes to PSOne screen only, and the 12 volt battery goes to the gamecube. They never touch each other....so how will it do harm to anything?

well i guess it wouldnt harm anything, but youre going to have a situation where your screen dies before your system, or vice versa. i say just go with TWELVE ni-mh batteries, with 6 in series, and two of those in parallel.... why would you need 16?

you wont harm anything but it will be a female of the dog species buying two different batterty charges and it is highly unpracticle im sayin it is way way way easier and smaller to just buy a 7808 voltage regulator from www.digikey.com and hook one set of batteries up to it

Technically doesn't the GC regulator board give equivilant power supply for N64?

IIRC, yes. But it requires a 12V min. input to function.
