psone screens

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

psone screens

Post by everchangingone »

if anybody has a psone screen that they don't want the speakers from let me know. i am looking for an audio circuit for my ps2p and it would probably be easier to just use the speakers/volume control/headphone jack from a psone screen
They said it couldn't be done, I'll show them. I'll do it my way and it WILL BE DONE!!!!

Using the speakers wouldn't be a problem, but the volume control is built in to the main board (integrated with one of the display drivers I believe), so it's not that simple just pulling it off. You'd be better off just buying a couple little speakers and a headphone jack, then building your own preamp. Even if you could pull the volume control and amp off the board, they are all surface mount parts, so you would need an appropriate board to put everything on in order to make it work.
