5 diodes and a paralell port isnt exactly hard, you can do it in a few hours and it costs about 50p (assuming you already have a PSX/PS2 controller)

ok, i just got my laptop, its a 333mhz pentium two with win 98 and 128mb ram. Right now im upgrading the harddrive to a 20gb and im gonna upgrade the ram also. Still working on the ps1 converter though...

What Model of Laptop is it?
I have a Dell Latitude CPI thats exactly like that with a 4gb hdd.

dude, just use an xbox controller.........you wouldn't have to take a lot of time to make a converter since xbox controllers use usb. Besides, xbox controllers have a lot of buttonns on them....
