LOW VOLTAGE PORTABLE SCREENS

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

LOW VOLTAGE PORTABLE SCREENS

Post by everchangingone »

hey everybody, i don't know if anybody knew abou these or what they cost, but i was just searching through the web for lcd screens, www.nec-lcd.com has 3.3v (5v) screens in varying sizes. they draw as little as 3.75w 9.8w (5.5 inch up to 8.4 inch.). they are vga or xga, but converters can easily be made.
They said it couldn't be done, I'll show them. I'll do it my way and it WILL BE DONE!!!!

If you read their FAQ they say they don't sell them to individuals for personal use. I think they only sell to big companies for mass production.

perhaps not, but it would give people things to look for at swap meets, on ebay, etc. the lower the draw from the screen, the longer the batteries last.
