One cool thing about the DS is its wireless thing. My dad is working on voIP stuff and he thinks its really cool. You could get something like the Campho Advance ( http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?catego ... ts_id=3682& ) and make it work with the DS's wireless powers. This would basically turn the DS into a phone. Think about it. It has everything a phone has... Mic, speakers, a way of thansfering data. Its all there. You could stream audio and movies to it. Its only a matter of time before someone comes up with a web browser for the DS. Overall I think the DS has a lot of potentential. All I ask is that if someone uses these ideas in ANY form (not that you will, at least until a programable flash cart type thing comes out for the DS) that I recieve credit in some form.

If a flash cart is developed for the DS, I'll definitely be one of the first to write and port stuff for it.

I really think that an Internet cartridge is going to be released for the DS.

It would take a pretty loney and pathetic programmer to create malware for the DS.

WTF? your computer has a microphone, mine has two screens and instead of styluis you could use a mouse.. or render bouth screens on one screen. but theres not point in doing so cus the DS is so freeking sweet.. but it would be great for guys developing Apps for it. (make a linux app)

I'd like to see a Linux OS built into a DS cart that has a few USB ports for external drives, perhaps....maybe even use the infared to network with a normal PC-compatible box or have a normal networking port

Also, I think one screen should be the OS GUI, using stylus as a mouse...

The other would act as a stylus "keyboard" with customizable quick buttons for programs, emus, etc.

Or, use the normal buttons for mouse controls as well....and have a stylus button on the "keyboard" to switch between them.

PS....the DS, at least the primary processor if I remember right, runs on 96MHz, enough to run 98, and with some modification, ME(evil as that OS is, it can be done with tweaking).

I can see a decent OS ported to the DS.

that'd be cool, but it'd definatly require the ds development kit. I'll let you pay for that :)

About the phone thingnintendo plans to release something for it so it will work as a cell phone. Doing livevideo cvhat would be impressive. I was thinking about the linux to that would be so sweet. It would invole a lot hacking though so that it will use the touch screen. Windows ce would be much easier to put on I think. Emulators are such a good possiblity. All some company needs to do is come up with some cart drives for it.
