Does epoxy stick well to...

Does epoxy stick well to plastic or does it slide off I have quik weld epoxy and i'm trying to make my SNESp have a joystick.

im using epoxy to make a boat, it sticks well indeed, at least i think it does

If you're gluing plastic to plastic your absolute BEST bet is some model glue (or something like that). you can get it at any model/hobby shop.

Basically it fuses the plastic pieces together. Very good.

I never liked model glue, it's very brittle and slow. epoxy works very well if you don't mind it showing.
There are also super-special epoxies for gluing plastic to plastic. I believe the stuff I used was called 'plastic fusion'

that plastic fusion is the stuff i'm talking about (i think).

Anyways, the stuff I'm talkinga bout melts the plastic so you can jam the pieces together, and it works rather fast.

I haven't had any for years, but i remeber it was in a white and red tube, with a white cap.

this didn't damage the plastic, it's an epoxy

Note that the joint pictured is dry and far stronger than the plastic pieces were.
red container sounds like a JB weld.

go get this stuff called "plastic welder" it is make by devcon and it is a 2 part epoxy that just plain is awesome

if you want to use normal epoxy, just roughen up the surface with some 120 or 200 grit sandpaper so that the epoxy has something to grab onto. works every time.
