Can you charge a NiMh battery with any a/c adaptor (not a charger) if it has the right voltage?

If you add a resistor and bridge rectifier, yes.

the bridge rectifier is a bit excessive, no?

and he said "any" adatper.... i dont think he should be using a 25v adapter on a 1.2 volt battery

I think he's just asking if he could simply connect a few wires.

If you add a regulator and a rectifier, then yes.

man, if we are talking about a normal ac adapter here, that takes in AC and outputs DC, you DONT need a rectifier!... just make sure you hook it up right

i dunno. whenever i hear "Ad adaptor" i think "low votlage dc". i dont think ive ever encountered something that outputs AC. i assumed thats what he was talking about.

I have a few Ac/Ac but much more Ac/Dc (that sounds familiar

Yeah, there are plenty of wall-warts that output AC. Unless you say AC-DC I'll assume for the safest method

why not go all out then. why not have TWO bridge rectifiers, eh? and several capcitrors. you could add regulators and dc-dc converteds. hell why dosent he build his own steam generator eh? why not that. then he can make his own goddamed AC. who are you, thomas edison? ac sucks. get with the times man.

The power supply for the SNES outputs AC because theres a bridege rectifier on the SNES board

At least the PAL version does, the US snes adapter puts out 10v unregulated DC.

I think the NES power plug outputs 9V AC does it not?
