The Ghost of Christmas Past brought Scrooge to Fizzywig's (spelling may be off) to show him his life before he became a money-crazy sadist. They then went to his office, where he breaks his lover's heart by forclosing her morgage.
The Ghost of Christmas Present brings him to Bob Cratchett's house to show Scrooge how his actions affect Bob's family. (starving, doing all of Scrooge's laundry instead of cooking dinner.
The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Be (or Future, depending on what version you're reading) brings Scrooge to a cemetary where Tiny Tim is buried to show him the folly of his ways, and what will become of the ailing boy. He also shows Scrooge his own grave, which he pushes him into.
Scrooge then wakes up in his bed and competely changes his ways. Cratchett is promoted to partner, and his family is not quite as poor anymore.
I remember this from watching the TV movie version with Patrick Stewart playing Scrooge, and the Disney animated version (which I have an a 13 year old VHS tape, complete with commercils with the 7-up Cool Spot guys, Kirby's Pinball Land for Gameboy, and the Super Gameboy.
). I only read the book a long time ago.

I always liked the cartoon Christmas Carols; Flintstones, Jetsons, Beavis & Butthead.
