Diffrent Portable LCD's

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

It accepts some form of video in, so yes.

From what I know, (very little) any screen that is used for a game system can be portablized. Also, anything that has 'Audio/Video In' jacks. Anything that doesn't you need to make a conversion board for...I think?

Any "game screen" that accepts video-in will work, you can get some pretty good deals on ebay by looking for ones that are missing AC adaptors or have problems with the case.

BTW even if you're building a system that isn't in Ben's book, it's almost a required purchase (unless you're really good at slinging a soldering iron already, but then you probably wouldn't be asking this) :)

Well, rgb on the n64 has had some problems. It can only be done on the earliest models, they took out the chip in the later versions.
Even so, most people end up getting very weak signals from the mod.

I'd go with composite video, for the n64 at least (easier to find an lcd screen that way.)

RGB is very good quality, but the n64 doesn't support it directly. Composite is alright but average compared to rgb.
