Its true. The radio shack near me got rid of all the usefull parts they used to stock. Aparently toggle switches, fuses, and leds are all anyone needs.G-force wrote:Oddly, my mom went to Radio Shack to get some parts for me, and they told her all the RS stores were getting rid of 90% of all their parts stock! I do that. I keep Whistle'n the themes to megaman 2 and Mario 3. My megaman started to drive my g/f NUTS at one point.xriverfalconx wrote: If you keep whistling the music to your favorite video games while building your portable, you might be a benheck.
And Sopngey is right, the people at Rat Shack are clueless. They know me by name (Foxx) at radio shack... I usually get a "hey Foxx, what'cha working on today? Can i help ya'... oh, wait.. nope, I cant."
Once i went in there for some 2N3904 transistors, i ask the dude "Got any 2n3904 transistors" His reply "Whats a transistor? And we dont carry those."
Turns out the doushe went to college for electronics enginering and didnt know WTF a damn transistor was. Thats as bad as my friend telling me one of his lab mates (allready been in electronics enginering for 4 years) though LEDs could beep. And my lab partners wondered why I wanted to work alone?!

Dang it. As if their stock wasn't small enogh already. Ah well, I guess now I have a bigger selection, now that I may HAVE to use digi-key. But I'll have to wait to order parts as long as I can due to the that awful $5 fee.MajorLag wrote:Its true. The radio shack near me got rid of all the usefull parts they used to stock. You might be a benheck if this news makes you both happy and sad at the same time. NOw we can really hate radio shack!
You know that Sony's PSP idea was stolen from Ben's PSp.
You view emulation as lame next to the actual hardware.
