I think both are great consoles, and both will do fine, also Im a fan of Nintendo products and also a SOMEWHAT hater of Sony's but not really, It's just that I cant play well with DualShock Controllers, but some games on the PS's are great, and I love almost every Nintendo game, and for me their controllers are the best, but in this theme POCKETS, both are great in their own way, DS Innovating, Cool; PSP Graphics.

And both are focused in Bigger audience primarily (yes the DS was made thinking not for just kids), so both are GREAT.

I'd really like to get one (because yes, I am a nintendo fanboy at heart), but I just can't afford it. Maybe some day, a few years from now, I'll come accrossed one that somebody lost (thats how I got my GBC and my GBA (only weeks ago!)).

I'll admit that even as a Nintendo fan boy I was questioning the wisdom of the two screen/stylus thing, but after demoing Metroid at best buy I was sold.

I personally can see the appeal of the PSP. Good graphics, more space(bigger games.), bigger screen, no need to think outside the box(you can think along the lines of "Okay, this game would be really fun, make a tweak here, alter the graphics to work better on the PSP's screen, BAM. Game", instead of "okay, I can do this with the touchscreen, and then if you do this and this, it lets you do this, or this guy relies on sound input from the mic".) just to make a decent game, etc. DS has innovation and better battery life(touchscreen fits under innovation, as does the mic.).

I just don't like people calling something that isn't a gimmick a onetime gimmick you'll never see used again.

DS has a(sadly it appears to be proprietary.) mic port as well.

Meh, not worth argueing about this kinda stuff. I like my DS(I want to TOUCH IT.....Down there!), you like your PSP(or you will when you have one.), we're all happy.

no hes going to be so happy once he gets the 500 bucks all saved up. then he'll have a huge let down when the battrys die before he can get out of the house. he'll tell us he loves his psp for like ever then done day just get sick of it and he'll sell it to an under prevaliged inercity middle school.
and by that time when all the dinal sets in there are not a lot of DS's left because of the increadible demand for them. so he has to make an imitation one with the piles of easy to get psps (easy to get cus there giving them aways because no one wants one). and thats why he sould just give it up now...

You know what I just relized. This thread has been changed from a

dicusstion of a new handheld has turned into a battle of the two game

monopolies. This has uproarded our little forums. New blood shed from

an acient hate. Before you post just ask yourself. Is it worth it?

I'll leave this as my last comment in this thread.

Weither you love Nintendo or Sony and so that makes you love/hate the handheld they release, remember one important thing "Is only your opinion, and well you can voice it here it has little bearing (if any) on what someone else things of the handhelds themselves".

Right now lets try and be more then winny little children arguing over this and that, and try to show our age.
