I think I have a cheap NOAC

unfortunartly it doesnt have a cart slot.. I paid $12 Canadian and got a 29 games in one controller that has many NES game hacks built into it including ones of mario (u control a morphing Pikachu) and one of 1942.. I'm soon going to take a look inside to see if its anything similar to the pics of the powerplayers etc..

Anyone know if you can get a similar cart slot just incase? i really dont have access to the floppy connectors ben had..

Yes, you can buy normal 72 pin non NES style connectors. But from the description there's no cartridge connector.

OMG, mario ate picachu and is wearing his skin!!!

I bought one that had a cartidge full of NES games, with some odd alterations. But they were still the same kinda games. I think they just modified a few things so that it was more legal.

anyways.. heres the pics of it..

heres the inside.. two pieces.. the control board and the main board.. the main board is tiny.. talking like 1.5"x1.5" control board is about 4.5"x3"

after analyzing it abit.. the control board seems to be where the power goes to first so I'll probably include it all.. if i could figure out the whole game removal/cart slot connection stuff.. this should be a fairly easy portable.. I could get a cart slot of one of the old game genies couldnt i?

What you have is yet one of the many NES EMULATORS. It reads the games off of that glop on the left (second picture)

Unless you have another one. You see, Im starting to think we can crack down on this NOAC business. With the thing I have, the HANDY BOY, the circuitry is similar. One big glop, probably the NES, then the side chip, conaining the ROMS. Then again, you'd need the same pin #s, and all that good stuff. (mines 40 I think)

So how the heck do you decipher the pinouts of a glop top?
A: You dont! You see, Mine uses an INTEL flash memory chip.I have pinouts for it. If the two work the same, would it not be common sense that you could replace my chip with yours?
Then from there, It would allow you to have this chip embedded into your own NOAC! (if you can acquire a HANDY BOY.)

So why is this any good?
Well, As I stated before, the thing is from the STRATA FLASH series, Its INTEL's early form of flash memory. By wiring it to the computer and accessing the files, hopefully you can put on your own roms!
